Interesting fact: With this project, I knew we wanted that stop motion cut-out look, but we needed a more realistic approach with time. Rather than rotoscope multiple characters, we were able to shoot the scenes live action with green screen and key the characters. Then slowing it down to about 15 frames a second and adding some turbulent displacement we were able to achieve that stop motion look in a short time frame.
